Different Types of Dollies

Move your heavy loads with ease with GKS dollies. Machined and finished using state-of-the-art manufacturing methods and accurate welding to guarantee a distortion-free structure and optimal stability, the performance of our dollies are tested under load, abrasion and shock.

Determine which type of dolly is best suited for your job.

Transport Dollies

GKS Transport Dollies are our most commonly used dollies for a wide range of applications. These dollies offer a classic 3-point moving system which is ideal for hassle-free moving of heavy loads, especially on uneven floors and surfaces often present in warehouses, manufacturing facilities and beyond. GKS Transport Dollies add to the overall safety of your job and increase maneuverability with their low center of gravity, low head clearance, and excellent resistance to slipping.

GKS Transport Dollies have load capacities of up to 300 tons, depending on the models. For your load-moving system, choose from a selection of F-Dollies which serve as the rear dolly and feature an adjustable connection bar to distribute weight and accommodate heavy loads of varying widths. These F-Dollies are designed to be paired with matching L-Dollies which are used to push, pull and steer the load. For safe front steering support, our L-Dollies feature a swivel top and tow eye. GKS F-Dollies can also be combined with another F-Dolly for applications that require only forward and backward movement, with our Rotating RL Dollies, or with our steerable Tandem TL Dollies.

Tandem Dollies

Need to transport machines, frame structures or other bulky loads? GKS Tandem Dollies provide the 4-point moving system you need for your job to ensure proper support and stability. Our Tandem TL Dollies are especially useful for transporting heavy loads with legs. The key difference between our Tandem TL Dollies and L-Dollies is they offer two contact points instead of one. The Tandem Dolly is designed to serve as the front support when paired with the matching F-dolly for rear support. Tandem Dollies can also be paired with RL-Dollies or a second Tandem Dolly. The load capacity for our Tandem Dollies range from 6 to 100 tons.

Container Dollies

There’s a better, safer way to move ISO containers. Using two forklifts to move bulk containers is unsafe and inefficient. GKS Container Dollies are designed to offer secure transport, regardless of the surface you need to transport over. Built for moving ISO and intermodal containers, our Container Dollies feature cones that fit inside the four feet of the container and securely lock in place, non-slip surfaces and scuff-free rollers. The container locks ensure that all dollies will remain connected even when driving over potholes, speed bumps, indoor/outdoor flooring transitions, and other uneven surfaces. GKS Container Dollies are composed of tandem dolly sets with 4-point moving support and can also be paired with other Container Dollies. Choose from models designed to carry containers ranging from 6 to 80 tons.

GKS Twinlifter TW28 Dolly offers a higher capacity than most lifting dollies on the market. This machine skate is perfect for bulky and large-volume loads, such as safes, HVAC units, and more. The Twinlifter TW28 is built with an integrated hydraulic pump, so you can jack and transport loads with the same machine. The Twinlifter TW28 also features a simplified and sturdy welded designer, highly resistant polyurethane wheels, and handle steering for easy maneuverability. You can customize your twinlifter dolly with extra heavy-duty polyamide wheels as well. The Twinlifter TW28 offers a 7-inch lift and a load capacity of 2.8 tons, so you can move bulky items with generous ground clearance.

Rotating Dollies

Make the most out of small spaces with GKS Rotating Dollies. Our Rotating RL Dollies offer a 360-degree swivel due to special bearings on the skates. These dollies also have maneuverability features that are critical for many factory floors. These include the ability to be steered from the front or back, make tight turns, move freely in tight spaces while retaining stability. Create a 3 or 4-point moving solution by combining Rotating RL Dollies to fit the weight distribution, total capacity, and stability you need. Rotating RL Dollies can also be combined with GKS F-Dollies, L-Dollies or Tandem TL Dollies. Featuring scuff-free rollers with low resistance and non-slip grip, you can protect your load and your surfaces while moving your heavy loads with ease. Our Rotating Dollies feature load capacities ranging from 1 ton to 12 tons.
